DESCENDANTS OF WORTHING'S FISHERMEN & LIFEBOATMEN
Descendants and relatives of the town's fishermen and lifeboatmen, who've been in touch already, have been issued with certificates of shared heritage honouring their ancestors, each one personalised in their enduring honour.
More of you are related to a fishing or lifeboat family, sometimes very distantly, sometimes you're not sure. But do please get in touch anyway, then we can work out whether you have a connection or not.
There was a lot of intermarrying among families, especially fishing families, and it is not unusual to find that you may be related by marriage to a number of different ones, through the generations.

We'd Love to Hear From You

The 350-ton barque Lalla Rookh was built in Jersey by Edward Allen in 1839, constructed on the beach at Havre des Pas, just east of the town of St Helier.
